
Mrs. Shayna Karlin
Mrs. Shayna Karlin has been teaching both Limudei Kodesh and General Studies for over 10 years. She has taught a variety of subjects including Physics, World History, Chumash and Navi. Mrs. Karlin works hard to develop meaningful connections with each of her students and help them find their strengths in order to succeed inside, as well as outside the classroom.
In the classroom, Mrs. Karlin builds hands-on lessons using a variety of modalities and works with the students to create real-world connections to the material being learned. She has spent many years in informal education including Youth Director at Congregation Adath Israel in Elizabeth/Hillside, as well as spending many summers teaching on the Camp Morasha Chinuch staff. After attending MMY, Mrs. Karlin was part of the first cohort of Legacy Heritage Fellows at Stern College where she earned her BA in Education, Psychology and Jewish History. In her spare time, Mrs. Karlin is a First Responder for Hatzalah and enjoys reading, painting murals and gardening. Shayna lives with her family in Bergenfield, NJ.
